We chatted with Amanda this week and found out some of her favourite things.
How did you come to know and love Pilates/Yoga?
I started taking the 90 min. Bikram classes when I was 16, when the studio first opened it was all that was offered at that time. I was so used to my formal dance training that had no middle ground, I was either doing a move good or bad. I remember the feeling after taking my first 90 min class of being taught that if I fell out of a move or couldn’t hold a pose very long it was ok, I was still enough and I could still come back. This is what continues to bring me back to class each time. The feeling of acceptance and knowing that I can show up when I can as I am 🤍.
What’s your favorite move/pose?
Eagle 🙏🏼 feels incredible through my head, neck and shoulders and brings my heart rate back down.
