Asia's classes won't feel like what you're used to calling "yoga". Each class flow focuses on practicing resiliency, adaptability, and sustainable movement. You'll build core strength, improve mobility, and focus on joint/spine health to keep you feeling powerful and pain-free for the long run. These classes are a perfect compliment to anything else you enjoy doing, as they balance the wear and tear of daily use - or lack of use - at any age.
Asia began practicing primarily Ashtanga Yoga in 1998, became a Certified Instructor in 2003 and founded Pranalife Yoga in 2006. She’s led over 5 000 hours of classes, workshops and 10 years of yoga teacher trainings. Having recovered from a major back injury in 2011, her teaching is based on the spine-sparing research of back expert Dr. Stu McGill, and each of her classes integrates movement skills from functional joint conditioning.
These classes focus on quality of movement over quantity or speed. This practice is challenging but accessible, with progressive options so you can choose how intensely or gently you want to move. You will be weight-bearing on hands and knees for parts of the flow, and though the room is NOT heated, you will get warm! Prepare to transform how you move on and off your mat with this dynamic practice.
